Hello! I’m a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, where I’m advised by Suren Byna.
I also serve as a Visiting Graduate Student at the Data Science and Learning Division at Argonne National Laboratory, working under the supervision of Ravi Madduri.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
Research
My research focuses on Data Readiness for AI (DRAI), aiming to build scalable, trustworthy systems that ensure data is usable and effective for AI-driven applications. Recent work includes:
- Developing frameworks such as AIDRIN (AI Data Readiness Inspector) to assess and quantify data readiness for AI workflows (SSDBM 2024, SSDBM 2025, SC25).
- Conducting a comprehensive survey and introducing dimensions of data readiness, covering core concepts, challenges, and current evaluation approaches (ACM Computing Surveys 2025).
- Integrating data readiness assessments into privacy-preserving federated learning systems (IEEE e-Science 2025).

- June 2026: I will be a speaker representing AIDRIN at the DIA Global Annual Meeting.
- May 2026: I will be joining Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) as a Summer Intern.
- September 2025: Our poster "AIDRIN: A Comprehensive Toolset for Automating Data Preparation for AI" was accepted to SC25 as an interactive poster. We look forward to presenting our work at the conference.

Outside of research, I have a strong background in cricket. I’ve played the sport competitively for several years and continue to stay actively involved, both on and off the field. I also enjoy travelling, exploring new cultures, and experiencing different cuisines.
